An Ongoing Story: Eating Disorders

"I look in the mirror and wonder how many bodies look like mine in magazines. quite a few - all with the word 'before' written underneath"

- Desiree Dallagiacomo

I've decided to tell the stories of those who have fallen victim to the expectations of others. I want to use this series to bring awareness to mental illness revolving around body image and eating disorders. There are a lot of stereotypes of what a person should look like while going through an eating disorder. I want to create representation for bodies that do not adhere to these stereotypes and show that mental illness does not choose what body type is appropriate to prey on. It is time to open the minds of those living in ignorant bliss and allow all who suffer to feel validated and less alone.

If you'd ever be interested in telling your story, this is only the beginning of this project for me.

Please contact me; I'd be overjoyed to help share your story.
